Inclusive Summer Camp that Empowers Adventure

Capable Kids Camp is a six-week summer camp run by Harc integrated with Hartford’s Camp Courant. The camp runs for six weeks starting the last full week in June, and is free for Hartford residents.

Children and youth (ages 5–21) with intellectual and related disabilities can share experiences with peers of all abilities, cultures, and backgrounds. Fun-filled activities led by specially trained counselors emphasize literacy, fitness, and sports. Every Friday, exciting field trips are taken to various locations throughout Connecticut, such as the CT Science Center, Trolley Museum, and Dinosaur State Park. Harc provides transportation to and from the camp from its headquarters in Hartford.
