How to Become an Ambassador

Nomination or Application Process: Interested individuals or companies are nominated by Harc staff, board members, or community partners, or they could apply directly through the form on Harc’s website. This process would include questions about their connection to Harc’s mission, past involvement, and specific ways they envision contributing as Ambassadors.

Criteria for Selection:

  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • A history of involvement with Harc through donations, volunteering, partnerships, or advocacy
  • A strong network or platform that can help amplify Harc’s message
  • Enthusiasm for participating in Harc’s events, fundraising efforts, or public awareness campaigns

Approval and Onboarding: Selected applicants would go through an onboarding process that includes an overview of their responsibilities, available resources, and a briefing on Harc’s mission, goals, and current initiatives. This could include meeting with key staff members and a tour of Harc facilities or programs.

Agreement of Commitment: Each Ambassador would sign a commitment agreement, which would outline their responsibilities, term length, and mutual expectations.

Recognition and Renewal: Ambassadors would be formally recognized on Harc’s website and at annual events, showcasing contributions and encouraging others to get involved. At the end of each term, Harc would review their engagement to determine eligibility for reappointment.
