volunteer opportunities
Volunteer at Harc, Inc.
Harc volunteers' time and expertise are a tremendous asset to our supports and services. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to offer many fun activities and enriching experiences.
Volunteers work directly with our participants and learn about individuals with intellectual disability and the programs and services they rely on. Each volunteer activity is personalized to fit the needs of the individual or group.
We also have volunteers who bring their expertise to the agency that indirectly improves the lives of the people and families we support. We have many people from diverse backgrounds who volunteer their time and expertise. Our participants look forward to volunteers visiting throughout the year!
Volunteers are an integral part of how we achieve our mission.

Harc needs volunteers who help us deliver quality support on all levels.
A volunteer can be:
- Students looking for volunteer hours
- Businesses wanting to spend their 'days of giving' at Harc
- People who just want to volunteer their time and expertise with us
Volunteer Activities:
- Spending time in the Senior Life Enrichment Program participating in arts & crafts, games, music, Wii games, reading and dancing. Monday-Friday 10 am - 3 pm.
- Working on a special project at one of our residential homes: painting or cleaning decks and tending to the garden.
- Companies and organizations are welcome to provide a “special project” to work on with our participants.
- Camp Bulova: a Saturday day program during the school year.
- Help with one of our major fundraising events: Sparking Possibilities Auction & Gala and Walk N' Roll.
