A letter from Annette Hargrove, Harc’s Interim President & CEO.

Dear Harc Community,

As we navigate through these challenging times, I wanted to let you know that the health and safety of our participants, residents and staff have always been and continue to be our very top priority.

I have never been prouder of our amazing and dedicated Harc team. Over the last few weeks:

 

  • We have implemented procedures to ensure individuals’ health and well being, subject to constant adjustment as we get new guidance.

  • Day programs at Harc’s 900 location have been relocated to the group homes and families’ homes.

  • All large gatherings have been postponed.

  • We are delivering a high percentage of our Birth-to-Three services via online tools.

  • Some of our employment sites continue to operate with Harc staff.

 

Given the many demands the COVID-19 crisis has placed on Harc we have never needed the help of our community more. Your monetary support will fund:

 

  • additional staffing hours required at this time

  • training for staff that don’t normally work in group homes

  • additional food needed at the group homes

  • day program supplies now that we are operating in multiple locations

  • cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment for our staff and participants

  • additional technology so we can serve more Birth-to-Three families remotely

     

I am also hoping the money raised will provide for:

 

  • wage replacement for participants that cannot work at this time. Some families rely on these wages to meet the basic needs of their households.

  • a Harc employee recognition fund for those individuals who have shown exemplary leadership and commitment during this crisis.
