HARTFORD, CT, April 2012 HARC, Inc. an organization serving people with intellectual disability and their families, will honor the twenty-five year career at HARC of Pauline Dunn of New Britain, CT, at its Annual Spring Fling Staff Milestone Celebration on Friday, April 13, 2012, at the Rocky Hill Marriott.
Ms. Dunn was originally hired by HARC in 1987 to work the third shift as a residential support assistant at the then newly opened group home on Prospect Street in Bloomfield. She worked in that position for a year and then went to work at another of HARC’s group homes on Asylum Avenue in West Hartford.
When HARC opened supported living apartments at the Westgate Apartment complex on Farmington Avenue in West Hartford, Ms. Dunn worked as a residential support assistant at one of the apartments for a year and a half before becoming a floater for HARC, filling in where needed at all of HARC’s residential locations.
Ms Dunn says, “The support and love I receive from the residents I work with and from HARC itself is very important to me. It’s what keeps me here!”
