“To the world you may be one person, But to one person you may be the WORLD”
Dr. Suess
This week I have seen profound strength in you all. You have taken on all the challenges that have been placed in front of you and accomplished a safe, fun, and warmhearted environment for all..
Your strength was visible through:
-
your extraordinary dedication to our mission
-
your out of box thinking, by developing a hand made face shield (in the absence of PPEs) along with a second mask for all staff (the goal of 5 is just around the corner)
-
creating virtual meetings with the goal of reaching out to families and guardians
-
setting up facetime with loved ones during the difficult time of the visitation order
-
the unwavering security at 900 Asylum
-
the compassionate nursing care
-
Creating T-shirts for our virtual walk
-
Continuing our planting efforts (we will have an abundance of vegetables and herbs this fall, we might have to think about some cooking classes)
-
the generosity of gifts
-
the support from our Board of Directors, their expertise has been valuable
-
Lets not forget, Chompers and his BFF Ann’s appearance when we all needed a moment of joy
-
And the Senior Team Appreciation Parade was the best day yet!
With all that we have accomplished this week, the navigation through the trying times were “effortless”, a strange word to use during this time but it is true;
-
Helping families cope with loss of loved ones
-
Reaching out to our Participants, families and guardians
-
Keeping Residents engaged, happy and healthy
-
Supporting one another
-
Your dedication in a home that has 3 Residents that tested positive for COVID-19
-
Keeping our Residents with medical concerns not related to COVID-19 safe and healthy
-
Working at a job site to make sure it will be there for our participants
-
Asking what is needed and making it happen that is Harc‘s Management team
